Every year Tarte releases a blush palette for the holidays that typically contain 5 blush shades but this year they've outdone themselves. The limited edition palette contains ten (yes 10!) blush and highlight shades in a double sided compact called a blush wheel. The palette retails for $57 CND and $44 USD and is currently sold out on Tarte.com but can be found at Sephora.
The compact has a beautiful purple and gold art deco design on the cover which corresponds with the 'Works of Tarte' holiday collection theme.
The palette contains mattes, lusters and two pearlescent highlighters with a mix of five warm and five cool shades. You can mix and match shades to create a custom look. Powered by tarte’s long-wearing Amazonian clay formula, the blushes are very long wearing.
Limited-edition shades include:
- concept (pink nude)
- icon (dusty rose)
- montage (pink mauve)
- ironic (berry rose)
- crafty (pale pink shimmer) - Highlighter
- mod (peachy coral)
- deco (poppy pink)
- surreal (hot pink)
- culture (coral shimmer)
- idol (nude shimmer) - Highlighter
I'm marveling at this years packaging. To my surprise, it is not heavy or bulky. It's quite the opposite, sleek and light; making it very travel friendly. I love the colour range of the blush and highlight shades and you can customize it to suite a variety of skin tones. I did notice some colours needed some building to get a good pigmentation. Some of the shades seem similar to previous year's blush palettes. For what It is worth, I think it is a great value for the price. If you love Tarte formulas or looking to up your blush stash, this is a great purchase.
Anyone planning to pick this up? Don't wait before it sells out!
