Another month has come and gone and I have to say April has been a great makeup month for me. With the VIB sale and my recent visit to the States, I added quite a few things to my collection this month. I definitely need to go on a no makeup buy but I can’t just yet. There are a couple of things coming up in May that will probably prevent me from doing so.
There are not many items on my list however they are all outstanding products. Keep reading to hear more of my thoughts. Each product mentioned below was swatched and reviewed in previous posts. Please feel free to click on the links beside each item if you haven’t already checked it out.
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Drenched Lip Splash Lipstick – Cabana Boy (See swatches here)
Ok by me saying I love this lipstick, is an understatement. I’ve been obsessed with it. I mentioned before that dusty rose/mauve is my favourite lipstick shade to wear so I instantly fell in love with ‘Cabana Boy’. What I like the most about this lipstick is the formula. It’s light weight and moisturizing as it is made with oils and butters. It glides on smoothly and doesn’t dry up. If you’re looking for a dupe, Nars Anita would be a best match but I prefer the Tarte’s formula.
Anastasia Beverly Hills – Gleam Kit: (Reviewed here)
I’ve been reaching for this palette so much lately. I usually wear gold highlighters but as spring is upon us, I’ve been rocking more light pink/peach looks. Pink highlighters complement those looks perfectly. I’ve been lovely the shades ‘Hardy Candy’ and ‘Starburst’ from this palette but I adore them all.
Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette (Reviewed here)
I think the Sweet Peach Palette is one of my favourite Too Faced eye shadow palettes thus far. It has the perfect amount warm and cool tones consisting of mattes and shimmers. I love the metallic shades as well as the peachy pink shades. I know this palette has been in and out of stock but I really hope they do a restock so some of you beauties can get your hands on it.
Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette (Reviewed here)
Too Faced has been killing it lately with all their new spring and summer releases. I’ve been gravitating towards more neutral palettes recently like this one, which is not like me. I do love that this palette includes some pop of colour. The violet shade ‘Jelly’ looks great on the lower lash line. Overall it’s a really cute palette that is great for travel.
