Colourpop Haul - Iluvsarahii Collection: $aucey Palette and Curvii Glossy Lip and Blow Me Away Shadow Palette - Review and Swatches
I recently purchased a few items from Colourpop including items from the Iluvsarahii Collection as well as the Blow Me Away Shadow Palette. I'm so glad I was able to pick up the eye palettes on sale for $12 USD regularly $18. To my surprise, items from Iluvsarahii Collection were still available. I've been following Karen for awhile and I'm a big fan of her work. The Blow Me Away Palette was released earlier this year as part of the brands Spring Collection I believe. I thought I would share my review and swatches with you in case you haven't seen or heard much about the above-mentioned products. Kindly keep scrolling for more information on each. You can also skip to the video below for swatches.
This is one of two limited edition palettes within the collection. The palette features two mattes, one metallic and one duo-chrome shade. It comes in a very chic cream sleeve with gold accents which resembles a crocodile pattern. I love the coordinated mauve and plum tones of this palette as well as the pop of coral. They go so well together to create a cohesive eye look as you will see below. This is my first time trying Colourpop's pressed shadows and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. All matte shades are soft, pigmented and very blendable. The metallic shades were also soft and blendable but needed fix + and some building to achieve my desired intensity. The shadows aren't powdery with no fallout and long wearing. There are shades to create an entire eye look and I love the look I created. Heavy Glam looks stunning in the inner corners of the eyes.
Heavy Glam: A vibrant duochrome orange with a pink flip
Chic Happens: A matte cool mauve
Lit: A vibrant metallic purple
Razy: A matte blackened plum
Curvii Ultra Glossy Lip
Curvii is one of the lip products in this collection. It is said to be a "high shine gloss with medium-coverage, crème finish in a moisturizing and non-sticky, comfortable formula". It definitely has a thick creamy finish and is not sticky. It is a peachy nude but not recommended for tan skin. When worn alone, it looks so pale on me. I can only wear it over pink or nude lipsticks. When layered, it looks very pretty and the formula is great.
This quad features vibrant peachy coral tones that just scream summer. It includes three matte and one duo-chrome shades. I love the complementary colour selection of this palette. The shades are highly pigmented, have great blendability and are soft to the touch. Take a Break which is the duo-chrome shade, looks beautiful on the lid and brow bone. Centerfold and Slim Fit are very bold and bright. They are pressed pigments so I did experience a little fallout. These two shades are also not recommended for the immediate eye area which I don't understand as they are eyeshadows but nonetheless, I just use them in my crease to be on the safe side.
Take a Break: duo-chrome peach with a subtle gold flip
Issues: matte pastel peach
Centerfold: matte vibrant coral
Slim Fit: matte hot red coral
Here's a look I created using the Iluvsarahii Collection. You can find the product details listed here.
