Urban Decay Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette - Review, Photos and Swatches

Hi Beauties!

After previewing the Naked Cherry Collection here on my blog, I’m back with a full review of the Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette.  I’ve been wearing it non-stop since I got it; even tried to plan my outfits around it.  I adore the cherry-hued colour story of this palette.  It contains perfect berry tones for the fall season.  The crimson compact is adorned with a row of metallic cherries and includes a full sized mirror and double-sided rose colour brush.  The palette retails for $66 CAD and $49 USD.

The Naked Cherry palette contains 12 brand new shades.  The shades are laid out from light to dark ranging from ivory and rose gold to black cherry.  The layout looks similar to the Naked Heat Palette but there are only three shades that look the same in the Heat Palette (Hot Spot, Caution and Privacy).  It contains a mix of shimmers and mattes that make it easy to go from day to night.  The dark burgundy shades take any smokey eye to a sexy sultry eye look.  The texture of the shadows are soft and buttery which is what I’m used to from UD.  The amount of transition shades and crease shades are just right.  It also has an ivory shade that most palettes contain which I use to set my eyeshadow base.  The mattes are pigmented and blend like a dream.  A few of the shades can bleed into each other if you over blend.   I noticed some fading after 7 hours of wear.  I like to apply the mattes in a patting motion (when possible) to prolong its wear.  As for the shimmers (Bang, Bang and Turn On) they’re pretty but subtle.  They need some help with a primer and wet brush.  I didn’t have that issue with the metallic shades (Young Love and Drunk Dial).

Shades included:

Hot Spot (ivory matte)

Caution (soft neutral beige matte)

Bang Bang (shimmering pink with gold shift and iridescent micro-sparkle)

Feelz (soft dusty rose matte)

Juicy (soft warm peach)

Turn On (pale metallic rose shimmer)

Ambitious (metallic rose copper)

Bing (deep mauve matte)

Devilish (reddish plum matte)

Young Love (metallic cranberry)

Drunk Dial (deep metallic burgundy)

Privacy (deep brownish-plum matte)

If you love berry tones, this is the palette for you. It is perfect for creating fall, day and night looks. I love the cherry inspiration behind this collection; koodos to Urban Decay on another hot fire launch.
