Huda Beauty The Overachiever Concealer - Graham Cracker: Review & Swatches
Are you a concealer junkie? Concealer is one of my must have products that I can’t leave the house without wearing. I have dark circles and under eye bags so a full coverage concealer is a must! Huda Beauty has recently launched their first ever concealer, the Overachiever. Inspired by all the boss women out there, Huda wanted to create a multitasking formula for all the overachievers. The concealer contains 31% pure pigment and contains skincare actives to soothe the skin. It is infused with green tea to eliminate signs of discolouration and stress. As well as Jericho rose extract for its soothing and moisturizing properties. The Overachiever is available in 20 shades ranging from fair to rich and is sold for $38 CAD.
The concealer has a zamac tip that is meant to de-puff and cool the under eye area. I find the tip quite awkward to apply and would much prefer a softer applicator. The full coverage formula is creamy and leaves a matte finish. I picked up the shade Graham Cracker described as medium with golden and peachy undertones. The peach undertones help to colour correct some darkness I have. It’s a little dry once blended out but not as dry as Tarte’s Shape Tape – which is my holy grail concealer. Unfortunately, I didn’t like how my skin looked after I applied it. It emphasized wrinkles that I didn’t even know I had. My skin looked aged for some reason and yes I always wear an eye cream underneath. At first I thought something was wrong with my application but I tried applying it with a beauty sponge and a concealer brush and they both had the same results. For that reason the Overachiever was not a winner in my books.
