Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Un-nudes - Review and Swatches of the Entire Collection

Hi Beauties!

Maybelline New York has taken a whole new spin on the nude lip.  They have created unconventional and unexpected neutral shades that are anything but nude or the standard beige.  The Un-Nudes Collection features deep brown to grey lavender shades and everything in between.  There are a total of 10 different matte lipsticks in this line and they retail for $11.99 CAD.  The collection is available at and mass retailers.

The Un-Nude liquid lipsticks are said to have 16 hours of wear and are budge-proof.  The lipsticks are housed in a square barrel and come with an arrow tip applicator for precise application.  They apply smoothly and opaque with one layer.  They don't dry down immediately to a matte finish.  They feel a little tacky while they are drying.  I do feel it on my lips but they are comfortable to wear and they aren't drying.  These lipsticks definitely ink your lips as they are long lasting and hard to remove.  I need a makeup remover and sometimes a lip scrub to remove them.  They even stayed on after a shower.  I was able eat and drink as well without having to touch up.   The colour range of the lipsticks is so fun.  I prefer the nude and pink shades and probably won't wear the grey and purple shades.  I'm not that adventuress but even then those shades don't look good on my tan complexion.  My favourite shades are Driver, Seductress and Amazonian but there are so many other pretty shades.  However, I found that the shade Poet crumbled on my lips very quickly.

I'm really enjoying the formula on these liquid lipsticks.  I feel that the formula has improved since the last time I tried the SuperStay Matte Inks (reviewed here).  For the price point I think is a great lipstick and worth checking out.  I love the concept behind the Un-Nudes, neutral shades that aren't your typical nude.  Would you rock the grey and purple shades?
