Make Up For Ever Artist Color Shadow - M820, I918 & ME912: Review & Swatches
You can create the perfect eyeshadow palette just for you with the Make Up For Ever (MUFE) range of Artist Color Shadows. There are over one hundred shades to choose from; 121 shades to be exact. It features a new smooth, buttery texture 12-hour wear formula. With five finishes - matte, diamond, metallic, iridescent and satin - to create your personalized shadow palette. The first letter of each shade represents the finish. For example, M stands for metallic. The customizable palettes are available in five refillable options, single, duo, trio, quad, and six pans. The single shadows retail for $22 CAD but are priced at a better value when you purchase two or more shades with the palettes.
M820 - Dark Purple Pink - is a medium pink with warm undertones and a matte finish. It has an opaque pigmentation and a smooth texture but felt dense in the pan. It wasn't as easy to blend as I would like but looks beautiful in the crease.
I918 - Lavender - is a medium lavender with an iridescent shift. The shade is pigmented and has a smooth texture. It's a beautiful purple shade for the lids and lower lash line.
ME912 - Orchid - a vibrant magenta shade that has a metallic sheen but it's not overly shiny. It had a rich colour payoff and blended well.
Overall, I'm pleased with the shadows that I chose. They were pigmented with no fallout or powderiness in the pan. I'm able to complete an entire eye look with the three shades that I chose. The purple/pink shades look beautiful together. You can shop the Artist Color Shadows at sephora and makeupforever.com.
