Anastasia Norvina Eyeshadow Palette - Review, Photos & Swatches

Anastasia Beverly Hills has launched yet another eyeshadow palette. The brand's president Claudia Norvina Soare (Anastasia's daughter) designed this palette as her personal go-to. It features 14 dreamy shades ranging from bold and bright mattes to soft pastel shimmers. My collection of Anastasia eyeshadow palettes is quite extensive and I have only been let down by one. I was really drawn to the whimsical pink and purple colour scheme in this palette so I had to have it. The luxe packaging is a lilac felt material which complements the inside beautifully. Included inside are a mirror and double-ended brush. The palette retails for $55 CAD and $42 USD.

The limited edition palette has some pretty unique shades which you can create a variety of looks with. There is a good mix of finishes in this palette with 7 mattes and 7 metallic shades. It contains enough warm tone crease colours which I prefer in all my palettes. It also has cool toned shades as well. The metallics are very creamy and highly pigmented but can be a bit crumbly. A little goes a long way. They apply well with a brush but fingertips or a wet brush work best. All of the metallics are equally beautiful; my faves are Summer, Wild Child and Rose Gold. Rose Gold has a plum undertone that is very different than other rose gold shades. Dreamer makes a pretty brow bone and inner corner highlight. The matte shadows are also pigmented and with full pigments there tends to be fall out. The mattes have a powdery kickback but it's not a deal breaker. You can just tap off the excess off the brush before applying. They blend smoothly and don't create fall out on the skin. Shades Love, Eccentric and Incense are my go-to crease shades. I use the shade Base, which is appropriately named, as a base. Soul is a pretty periwinkle shadow that applies better in a patting motion otherwise it tends to sheer out once blended. The shadows wore for 7-8 hours before fading.
