Charlotte Tilbury Latex Love Lip Gloss: Belle Du Soir & Dirty Dancer - Review & Swatches

Hi Beauties!

The Latex Love Long-Lasting Lip Gloss is Charlotte’s newest lip product.  It is a limited edition lacquered and intensely-pigmented lip gloss that leaves a mirror-like shine.  It provides a lip-hugging effect to enhance the look of lips.  There are six new shades in this range and I will be swatching two of them below.  The glosses retail for $39 CAD and $34 USD at Sephora and

The glosses are packaged in a clear tube with a rose gold cap with logo details from the brands Icon Collection.  The applicator has slanted sponge doe-foot applicator.  I read reviews about the bad smell and taste of these but I didn’t notice a scent until I sniffed the wand.  There is a strong perfume scent but it wasn’t detectable on the lips.  The formula is thicker and creamier than a regular gloss.  They are much pigmented and apply an opaque colour in a single application.  It applies smoothly without tugging and isn’t sticky.  Upon first application, there is a shine to them but it fades to a more creamy lipstick texture.  As the formula is thick, I like to rub it in with my fingers for a thinner consistency.  They wear for 4-6 hours with some transfer while eating or drinking.

Dirty Dancer - currant red lip gloss with warm brown undertones

Belle Du Soir - peach-pink lip gloss

As a gloss person, I wish these had more of a glossy finish as oppose to creamy.  The formula is full of pigment with excellent application and long wear.  Even though the formula is thicker, it is comfortable to wear and doesn’t dry out the lips.  However, I do think they are a bit over priced.
