As much as I don't like the cooler temperatures, I do enjoy rocking a chic leather jacket in the fall. I had an impromptu photo shoot over the weekend in Port Credit, Mississauga. See outfit details below.
Blush pink has always been one of my favourite colours to wear. I remember when I got my first blush pink shoes over 10 years and I have been obsessed since then. It seemed to have been more popular this spring/summer and popping up in many boutiques. Below are a few pieces that I own and have worn over the past couple of months.
August has been quite eventful for me. I celebrated two weddings and my birthday. I love attending weddings because it gives me an excuse to get extra glammed up. One of the wedding receptions actually fell on the same day as my birthday so that meant even more celebrations and glam. Here were my outfit choices.
Do you remember the 90’s style bomber jacket? It’s back as this season’s hottest jacket. I know it may be too early in the summer to be talking about jackets of any kind but unfortunately Fall will be among us very soon…well for some, anyway. Regardless of the temperature outside, I find that most places have the AC on blast so I usually carry a light sweater or jacket with me in case I get cold which is pretty common.
Bomber jackets can add a certain edge to your look. They come in shades of khakis, brights and pastels to add a pop of colour to your outfit. They also come in different styles like cropped and boyfriend cut. Retailers everywhere are stocking up on bombers. Stores like H&M and Zara have them reasonably priced ($35-45 CDN) and higher end ones can be found at Top Shop ($80 and up). Whether you style yours with a tee and jeans or a dress, it will look bomb (get it…lol).
Here is how I styled mine:
Summers in Toronto are gorgeous. This past weekend I celebrated my best friend's birthday at Cabana Pool Bar. Overlooking Toronto's waterfront with the beautiful skyline as a backdrop. Being one of Toronto's hot spots this summer, everyone was dressed to impress. Here is the outfit I chose.
This past weekend was quite eventful for me. I had a patio date with my girlfriends. I love our little outings because it gives me an excuse to get dressed up.
Rompers are so comfy and they look very stylish without trying too hard. I chose to dress mine up with some accessories and heels.
It's been a while since I did a fashion post so I wanted to share my recent date night outfit. The hubby and I visited one of Toronto's newest hot spot, Fring's, owned by Toronto native Drake and chef Susur Lee.
Choker's are back in style and I have been obsessed with them since they made their comeback. I love that this dress has a built in choker so it eliminates the need to wear any jewelry. I've also been in love with the colour mauve; I now own several dresses in this colour. You can shop this dress here.
Here is a close up of the makeup I did. Product details are listed here.
Whenever I have an invite to any type of event, the first thing I think is “what am I going to wear?” So needless to say I had my outfits for Generation Beauty planned out for a while. With so many of my favourite brands and other influencers in attendance, I felt I had to look my best.
Generation Beauty was a two day event and I was also invited to the Cocktail party they had for stylists. Outlined below are the three outfits I wore. I definitely learned my lesson for day 2, which was to dress light and not to wear heels!
This outfit was inspired by Desi Perkins because I was so excited to meet her. She often wears long coats and bodysuits. She mentions The Windsor Store in a lot of her fashion post which is where my bodysuit is from.
Stylist Cocktail Party:
Here's my spin on your typical little black dress look. I paired a polka dot see through bodysuit with a midi micro suede skirt. I love that bodysuits are trending right now.
I was going for more a stylish comfortable look here.
I’m so glad that the hottest trend for Fall 2015 trickled into Winter 2016. It's officially Spring but it doesn't feel like that here in Toronto.
From wine-red hues to the deepest of purples, the rich colour maroon or burgundy, call it whatever you want, its' everywhere. It wasn’t that long ago that I didn't own much clothing in this colour but now I own many. It’s one of those colours that looks good on all skin tones.
Here are a few of outfits I recently wore .
Hope you liked these looks. Thanks for stopping by,
Here's another dress I took a chance ordering online. I needed a dress for a wedding I had to attend because at the last minute I decided I didn't like the one I was planning on wearing. Anyone else change their mind a lot like that? I had seen Hot Miami Styles (HMS) all over Instagram and some of my favourite makeup gurus wear their pieces a lot. Amrezy and Makeupshayla to name a couple. I love both of those ladies' styles, very classy and sexy. That's how I would describe my taste as well.
It can be hard finding trendy outfits without paying a hefty price here in Canada. I love wearing different and unique items that most people don't have and HMS has many items that are like that. It was hard to choose one but this piece stood out to me because of the strappy back. The shipping cost was under $10 which is great for shipping to Canada and there wasn't any duty fees either. The dress literally came the week of the wedding. It took 7 days to get here so not that bad.
Ok let's talk about the dress. The quality was great and the fit was amazing. The material was very stretchy and made with their signature curve hugging material. The dress was also true to it's size; I'm a size small. The peep hole bust was a little to low for me so I had that stitched up a bit. At the time I ordered this dress, it only came in black. Right after they released it in other shades which I was a little annoyed by. I would have preferred the dress in nude or navy. Overall, I would recommend ordering from Hot Miami Styles. This was my first purchased from them and I made many more orders after that and I have not been disappointed.
Ordering clothing online can be a bit scary especially if you haven't ordered from a particular site before. I was looking for a dress for a wedding last summer and I knew I wanted something that looked hot and different! I had seen some makeup gurus posted outfits from House of CB London, so I figured I’d check them out. They carry some amazing dresses! I was a little hesitant to order from overseas and I couldn’t find many reviews on them at the time I was ordering. Some of their dresses are on the pricey side especially for Canadians like me who have to pay the conversion rate plus duties.
I took a risk and ordered it anyway. Once I saw that the singer Cassie had worn the same dress in a different colour (See photo here), I knew I made a good decision. It was so worth it and the shipping literally took 2-3 days to get here. The Salima Dress is so stunning, a definite head turner. The quality is amazing and fits true to its size. I am a size small but I wasn’t sure what size to order so I contacted their size specialists for assistance.
If you’re not a fan of backless and revealing side boob dresses, this dress is not for you. With two kids, I thought I couldn’t pull off some side boob action but girl it’s nothing a little two-way tape can’t fix. I felt really sexy in this piece. I would definitely recommend checking them out if you’re looking for trendy and unique dresses.
So I thought it would be cool to share some of my looks on this page. I love fashion and being a girly girl. Makeup and fashion are two ways I like express myself. I believe you should dress to impress no matter how you feel. Knowing that I look my best makes me feel good and gives me that extra boost of self confidence. For some it's a red lip, for other's it's their highest pair of heels. Whatever it is, you should own it and rock it like it's no one's business. I will be sharing reviews and thoughts on certain clothing brands, stores, quality etc.
