Sigma's Baking & Strobing Brush Set

Hi Loves,

Have you guys seen Sigma’s new brush set for Baking and Strobing?  Yes a brush set specifically designed for the baking and highlighting trend…amazing!  I love to bake and strobe to get that perfect-skin finish.  Baking may not be for everyone but fear not, these brushes are multi-functional and can be used as desired.  The set retails for $84 USD and is sold on sigmabeauty.com.  These brushes can be used with any cream, liquid or powder products to apply and set your makeup.  The set comes with five brushes created with a specific use in mind.  Similar to a makeup sponge, these brushes were designed to avoid product absorption but the fibers actually evade growth of bacteria (unlike the sponge).

Included in the set:

F06 Powder Sweep $20 – the small fluffy brush is intended to apply and sweep away setting powder with precision and is perfect for the under eye area.

F42 Strobing Fan $18 – This highlighting brush is designed to apply cream and powder products to your cheekbones, nose, upper lip and center of the forehead.

F79 Concealer Blend Kabuki $23 – The small tapered brush can be used to apply and blend concealer and colour-correcting products to the face using a stippling motion for enhanced application.

F89 Bake Kabuki $25 – This brush is designed to press on setting powder with its angled flat edge top when baking.  It can also work for foundation or contour application.

P89 Bake Precision $20 – This is the smaller version of the above F89 Bake Kabuki brush and it is meant to press your setting powder into hard to reach areas.

I absolutely love these brushes and I definitely recommend them if you’re looking to invest in some good brushes.  Each brush is sold individually if you don’t want to splurge on the entire set.  If I had to choose a favourite, it would be the F89 Bake Kabuki.  It picks up a lot of product at once and works perfectly for baking.   The F79 also works well to blend concealer under the eyes when used in a stippling motion.   I usually use a makeup sponge for blending my concealer and baking however those two brushes are pretty comparable if not better.  I adore the smooth finish it leaves my skin after I have concealed and baked.  I love using fan brushes to apply my highlighter so I’m glad they have included one in this set.  The F42 Strobing Fan brush is soft and dense and applies my highlight precisely to my cheekbones oppose to my entire cheeks lol.   Makeup brushes are an investment and beautiful makeup is as much about the tools you use as the products you apply.

Here is a little video demo on how I use these brushes:
