Mac x Mariah Carey Collection: Haul and Swatches

Hi Beauties,

Mariah Carey has collaborated with Mac Cosmetics for a second holiday collection. This collection is just stunning! The packaging symbolizes Mariah's glamour with all the glitter and sparkles. Each item from this collection is covered with silver glitter and gold accents and named after some of Mariah’s greatest hits. Mariah is a music legend and I love many of her classic tunes. The collection launched in stores on December 15th and since then I have acquired a few items that I will be sharing below along with some swatches.

Extra Dimension Skinfinish – My Mimi ($52.50):

Starting off with the star of this collection, My Mimi. She is too pretty to touch. It has a gorgeous embossment that resembles an animated Mariah. The colour is described as a warm gold shimmer liquid highlighter. It is smooth, silky and very pigmented. A little goes a long way. This is definitely a collector’s piece; I was lucky enough to receive a back-up.

Loose Powder – Touch my Body ($45.50)

I’ve had my eye on this beauty for a while but decided to pass on it as the My Mimi was quite pricey. My lovely husband gifted this to me as one of my Christmas presents. I’m so happy to have this addition in my Mariah Carey Collection. The packaging is to die for! It is very luxurious with silver glitter and champagne gold accents and Mariah’s signature on the retro canister. It also comes with an oversized bow-accented puff. The all over body powder is an ultra-fine gold shimmer that will make you sparkle.

Lipsticks ($25)

These lipsticks take the cake this year for packaging; Mac has outdone themselves. The bullets are covered with silver bling and they sparkle so much in your hands. They feature a butterfly embossment on the lipsticks. There are five limited edition hues. I own two shades but was able to swatch all shades which is pictured below.

Powder Blush ($28.50)

There are two limited edition blush shades in this collection. One is a light candy pink shade and the other is a deep coral. I passed on these but was able to swatch them in store for you.
