Haul: Sephora VIB Sale

It’s that time of year where all makeup junkies dash over to Sephora for their VIB Sale.  Sephora only has sales twice a year so you better believe I took advantage of it. If you missed it, the second sale will take place in November. The percentage off was 10% for BI and 15% for VIB and VIB Rouge.  It’s not much but it saves me on the taxes which is 13% in Ontario.  Today I will be sharing my haul as well as some swatches.  There were a few other things I wanted to pick up but I resisted like the ABH single eye shadows.

Let’s get started:

Anastasia Beverly Hills Gleam Kit

Initially when this kit came out I thought it was for fair skin tones and that’s why I picked up “That Glow” kit.  However the more I saw swatches and pictures on Instagram, I realized it was more universal.  The highlighter shades range from light champagne to copper and can also be used as eye shadow or blush if they don’t work as a highlighter on some.

Urban Decay Sin Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter:

Sin can be described as a champagne/soft gold shade with a slight metallic finish.  Sin was the most pigmented of the three from this collection. The wearable formula goes on sheer and blends easily.  I like the packaging; it’s sleek and has a mesh cutout that shows the shade of the highlighter.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Drenched Lip Splash Lipstick - Cabana Boy:

Cabana Boy is a Mauve shade which is my favourite lip colour to wear.  The formula is enriched with oils and butters to add moisture to the lips while providing a full coverage.  It swatched very creamy and had a satin finish.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick – Honeycomb:

There were so many gorgeous shades in this collection that it was hard to choose just one shade.  So I defaulted to a nude of course. Honeycomb is described as a “beige nude” colour that has a peachy undertone. The lipsticks from this line are suppose to have “extreme moisture soft texture, and creamy wear” but it swatched a little thick so I hope it won’t be drying on the lips.

Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray:

This was recommended to me by my hairdresser to achieve nice beach waves in my hair.  The spray is infused with sea salt and is supposed to add volume and texture.  It can be worn on dry or wet hair. I found it only works well on wet hair.

That is it loves.  I hope you enjoyed my haul and swatches.  Did you do any damage at Sephora?  Please share what you got below.
