Tarte Lippie Lingerie Matte Lip Tint: Review and Swatches

Nudes, nudes and more nudes!  Who doesn’t love a good nude...lip?  Tarte’s Lippie Lingerie’s come in a range of sultry nude shades.  The soft to deep toned au naturel colours are sure to please many.  I will be reviewing and swatching five of the eight lippies from this line below.

Having the words “matte” and “tint” in the name is kind of misleading as these lippie’s are neither.  The formula is full coverage that’s why I believe it is not a tint.  The colour payoff is amazing; very pigmented.   They are also very moisturizing and have a creamy texture so not so matte.  These are all positives for me as I prefer a light weight, full coverage lipstick that is non-drying.  The Lingerie’s are made with oils and butters that aid with hydration and is infused with mint, which you can definitely smell.  Once the pigment wears off (3-4 hours), it is easy to re-apply with one swipe.   Another thing I love about this pencil is that you can twist it up to reveal more product instead of creating a mess by using a sharpener.

Via Tarte’s website:

-  mango seed butter: skin conditioner that helps moisturize, protect and smooth dry lips

- cupuacu butter: rich in essential fatty acids and sterols that help firm while drenching lips in moisture

- murumuru butter: rich in essential fatty acids and ProVitamin A to help restore elasticity and soothelips

I’ve been wearing the shade Whisper so much.  It’s my favourite of the bunch.  These lippies can be easily thrown in your purse for when you’re on the go.  Did I mention they are vegan friendly as well?  Have any of you tried these?
