Tarte Color Splash Hydrating Lipsticks: Entire Collection - Review, Photos and Swatches

I'm so thrilled to be talking about the new Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Lipsticks. The Color Splash Hydrating Lipsticks are so stunning. From the lipstick shades to the packaging, they are to die for! There are a total of 24 lipsticks in this collection and today I will be sharing swatches of them all. The made for summer shades are incredible. They're primarily neutral tones but there are mauves, berries and browns as well. The lipsticks retail for $27 CND and $21 USD a pop and are currently available at Tarte.com and Sephora.com.

So let's dive right in!

The sea inspired blue marbleized tube contains white swirls that remind me of dreamy clouds. I love the previous Rainforest of the Sea Drench Lip Splash Lipsticks however the packaging wasn't the greatest (reviewed here). The new packaging is much sturdier and the lipsticks stand more securely in the tube. The new and improved vegan formula is super creamy and hydrating. It contains Rainforest of the Sea complex that has algae and marine flower extracts to reduce the appearance of fine lines. It also contains shea butter and olive oil which are great for providing moisture to the lips. The formula is full coverage and I don't require a base. The pigments are long lasting and stay put after eating light snacks.

Final thoughts:

I'm absolutely in love with the Color Splash Lipsticks. The array of shades is stunning and there is a shade for everyone! The nudes and mauves really speak to me. There has never been a lipstick collection where I was fond of almost every shade. It's hard to pin point a favourite but Salt Lyfe, Sunkissed, Beach Babe and Rum Punch are amongst my top picks. I'm obsessed with the names, they just remind me of vacationing in the Caribbean. The formula is so buttery and they glide on very smoothly. I don't even need to touch up with a gloss to re-moisturize after a few hours of wear which is pretty typical for me. I highly recommend picking up a few to try out, you won't be disappointed.
