Benefit Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation -Swatches of the Entire Collection

Hi Beauties!

Benefit Cosmetics just launched a new foundation called Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation.  The newest addition to their complexion range is said to even out skin tone and blur imperfections.  It is light-to-medium coverage liquid foundation which will be great for the summer months ahead.  It even contains sun protection along with shea extract to smooth and protect the skin.  The foundation is available for sale for $38 CAD and $29 USD.  There are a total of 12 shades in the line which I will be swatching below.

The foundation comes in a cute rectangle bottle matching the foundation colour on the inside with a hot pink reflective cover.  The back of the bottle features a cute smiley face with heart-shaped eyes.  The size of the product looks small but it contains an ounce of product which is standard.  It has an eye dropper style nozzle which I can do without.  It was very messy to use as the liquid was just running out as soon as I took the cover off without even squeezing it.  Essentially you will be using the leakage on your face but definitely shake it before use.  Out of the 12 shades there was probably 2 that didn't have this issue.  Initially, I thought it was due to the shipping and handling of the product but I put them to stand for a couple days before I swatched them and the same thing happened.  I would much prefer a pump on the bottle to avoid this.

The foundation is said to be for all skin types - normal, dry, combination and oily.  The 12 shades consist of 3 light, 5 medium and 4 dark shades.  The formula contains soft focus features to hide imperfections.  It leaves a natural matte finish and is lightweight and buildable.  The formula also contains 20 SPF that doesn't cause any flashback.  It feels like I have nothing on when I wear it.  I'm shade 6.   I will demonstrate a few shades on my face in an upcoming YT video.  To give you a comparison, I wear shade Aruba in Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation (swatched here) and Honey Bronze in Estee Lauder's Double Wear Nude Foundation.  For a natural finish,  it's recommended to apply with your fingers.  For a medium coverage, apply with a flat brush and for a full coverage, two layers is needed.  If you're looking for a full coverage foundation that doesn't require building, this may not be for you.  I know there may be some controversy on the number of shade colours in this line but the brand says they have "developed the range to reach a wide spectrum of skin-tones from light to deep.  A sheer coverage foundation shade can be worn by more skin tones than a high coverage foundation shade".

Overall, I'm really enjoying the formula.  I love how light weight and natural it looks.

 Research results:
In a self-evaluation by 103 women after 1 week:
- 99% said it feels weightless
- 98% said it feels breathable
- 96% said it blurs imperfections
- 95% said it gives natural-looking coverage
