MUFE Ultra HD Self-Setting Concealer - Shade #44 Review and Swatch

Make Up For Ever’s Ultra HD Concealer is the newest addition to the brands popular Ultra HD family which I’ve grown to love. The Ultra HD Concealer is a self-setting concealer. That’s right, no need to set with powder. The formula features amino acid-coated pigments that immediately conform to skin, ensuring 12-hour, budge proof wear. It is said to have medium, buildable coverage with a natural skin like finish. The concealer is available in 22 shades with different undertones to suit all skin tones. The concealer can be used to brighten dark circles, cover imperfections, highlight and contour. It launched online in December and in store at Sephora this month for $35 CAD.

The HD concealer provides medium coverage on me which is good for everyday wear. I was gifted shade 44 - Hazelnut which is a tad dark if I apply too much but it works to conceal well. I usually just apply three strokes and blend it out, and then apply more if need be. A shade lighter would work better to brighten up the eye more. It smooths my under eye area while keeping it hydrated throughout the day. I love that the formula is non-drying and not too heavy. It works really great to cover my blemishes. I’ve been wearing it without setting with powder as recommended and that’s foreign territory for me. I was pleasantly surprised that my under eye area did not crease and it lasted all day. The packaging is sturdy and it feels like there is a lot of product inside (0.17 oz/ 5 mL). It has a doe-foot applicator on the inside. Overall, I’m pleased with the formula of the Ultra HD Concealer. If you’re looking for a full coverage concealer this may not be for you but it does work for light discolouration and dark circles.
