Hi Beauties!

I’m back with another holiday edition post. This time I’m featuring the stunning Nars’ Studio 54 Holiday Collection. The limited-edition collection was inspired by the sparkling 70’s nightclub scene. That era was heavily influenced by disco, glitz and glam and this collection is everything of the sort. From shimmering finishes to glitter packaging to must-have accessories, this collection will have you wanting to tear up the dance floor like you’re inside Studio 54. In this collection, “party goers will find endless possibilities for expression with iconic shades, seductive bolds and cult classics, all arriving just in time for the holidays.” One thing I look forward to from Nars’ holiday releases is their various gift sets. There are a few lip, cheek and eye sets available as well as stocking stuffer sets. Today I will be sharing a few items from the collection that are available at Sephora and Narcosmetics.ca.

Free Lover Cheek Palette - $74 CAD

This limited-edition Studio 54 inspired cheek palette features five blushes and one highlighter. The palette is housed in a stunning hot pink glitter packaging that couldn’t be more fitting. The shades are so beautiful and versatile. They add the perfect pop of colour to the cheeks. They’re super blendable and pigmented. A little goes a long way so use a light hand. For that reason, I think this palette would work great on light and deep skin tones. I have tan skin and the shades show up bright and bold on me with the lightest application. Some shades have a multi-dimension finish and give a really nice glow. I don’t usually reach for blush palettes that much but this palette has been heavy on rotation. Some blush palettes don’t perform as good as single size blushes but that’s not the case with the Free Lover Palette. Each shade is rich in colour and is on par with what I’m used to from the brand. The highlighter is a light golden shade that gives a subtle glow but can be built up. I prefer to layer it with other highlighters.

Softcore Mini Blush + Balm Set - $32 CAD

This Studio 54 duo features mini Afterglow Lip Balm and mini Blush. The triangular glitter packaging makes it the cutest stocking stuff. There are three available colour options in cult-favourite Orgasm, Dolce Vita and Torrid Blush for building up to the perfect glow, plus a matching Afterglow Lip Balm for the finishing touch with a soft shine. I received the set with Torrid which is described as a coral with shimmer. I have Torrid in the liquid blush so I’m glad to have it in a powder. The mini Nars blushes always come in handy when I need to get ready at the office because they conveniently fit perfect in my makeup bag. The lip balm is supposed to tint the lips with a sheer wash but I don’t see much colour on my lips. They make my lips feel soft but I find they don’t moisturize the lips for a long period of time.

Studio 54 Audacious Lipstick - $41 CAD

The award-winning Audacious Lipstick in three best-selling shades: Mona, Carmen, and Barbara housed in a limited-edition glitter case. Each lipstick has a different colour outer package. I have the shade Carmen which is described as a Geranium shade. It’s a bright cherry red that applies opaque with one stroke. The formula is creamy and has a soft-matte finish. Audacious lipsticks are one of my favourite formulas.

Explicit Content Climax Mascara Set - $32 CAD

This limited edition Climax Mascara duo features one full size and one travel-size mascara. The mascara is said to deliver buildable volume and intense black color in a lightweight, flexible formula that won’t clump or smudge. I’ve been wanting to try this mascara since it came out and I’m glad to own two. The travel size is definitely going into my makeup bag.

Another hot item in the Studio 54 Collection is the Inferno Eyeshadow Palette and Hyped Eyeshadow Palette features 12 versatile shades. There is the Hustle Cheek Palette, a Lip Gloss set and many more gift sets.

Did you pick up anything from the 70’s inspired Studio 54 Collection?

Samantha
