Nars Private Paradise Collection - Motu Tapu Cheek Palette & Hot Tropic Lip Gloss Coffret

This year’s Nars’ Nordstrom exclusive collection, Private Paradise, was inspired by Francois Nars’ island of Motu Tane. This summer collection features glowy sun kissed face and lip sets. There are blush, bronze and highlight trios and lip products available in three textures – Lip Pencil, Lip Gloss and Lip Balm, for the perfect getaway look.

The Private Paradise Collection Cheek Palettes - $56 CAD

A trio of shimmering tones to blush, bronze and highlight meant to give you an island glow. The palette is housed in a limited edition tropical packaging design of flowers, pineapples and palm trees. There are two available palette choices – Motu Tane and Motu Tapu. Both contain new highlight and blush shades. Today I will be sharing my thoughts on Motu Tapu. It seems to have deeper tones of the highlighter and bronzer while both have universal blush shades.

Moana is a warm gold highlight shade that has good pigmentation and last all day. It applies well dry or wet and blends well.

Bounty blush is described as a satin tangerine. The pigmentation is very light and it adds just a hint of colour on my skin tone and it requires some building. It leaves a natural semi-opaque satin finish.

Casino is a described as a deep brown with golden shimmer. This shade was a disappointment as it was dry in texture and didn’t apply smoothly. Pigmentation was also lacking for me and it had a semi-opaque finish.

Hot Tropic Lip Gloss Coffret - $48

This limited edition set includes four lip glosses in new nude and pink shades. The hydrating formula contains Sea Lavender to protect against signs of aging. The formula leaves a sheer finish with a natural shine. I prefer to wear them over a nude or pink lipstick.
