Urban Decay Naked Honey Palette - Review, Photos & Swatches

I was ecstatic when I learned that Urban Decay was releasing a new addition to the Naked family. The Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette features 12 golden neutrals. The never before seen shades include classic golds, warm ambers, and rich chocolate browns. The shades were designed to give a retro 70’s golden glow and come in matte, shimmer and glittery finishes. You can take your look from bright and sunny to a seductive smoked-out eye look. The palette retails for $68 CAD and $49 USD at Sephora and Urban Decay.

The molten gold packaging has the words NAKED Honey written across and is probably my favourite Naked packaging thus far. It includes a mirror and a vegan and cruelty-free double-ended brush similar to the other Naked palettes. The shades in this palette are yellow toned nudes and browns making more wearable than an all bright yellow palette. I like that the mattes have yellow/olive undertones as oppose to orange undertones like most palettes. Shades Swarm and Keeper make great transition shades. The mattes apply well and blend easily. I also like FLYBY for setting my shadow primer. The shimmers and metallics apply well with a brush and can work as everyday shades. They apply better with your fingers or fix plus for a more vibrant glammed looks. Golden and Honey are my favourite; they are so bright and bold. I don’t usually gravitate towards neutral palettes but I’ve been enjoying this palette since I received it. There isn’t much variety in looks that you can create but its perfect for neutral lovers that are looking to step a little outside their comfort zone with some bright yellows. I think the shades are perfect for all year round.
