Givenchy - Le Rouge Deep Velvet Lipstick - Review and Swatches: #11, 27, 38

Givenchy has expanded the Le Rouge Deep Velvet lipstick line with eight new, irresistibly matte shades. The Le Rouge Deep Velvet line previously consisted of six shades. Now, it expands to include fifteen highly- pigmented shades, each one more impactful than the other. Housed in a glamorous red velvet case which perfectly mirrors the powdery finish of the lipstick. Each lipstick is stamped with the signature of the Givenchy house. The packaging is so chic and will make a true fashion accessory. I own a few lipsticks from the Le Rouge Line and Deep Velvet is my favourite finish. Needless to say, I was excited to hear Givenchy has added to their coveted Le Rouge Line. With so many bold shades to choose from, you’ll be sure to find one that fits your mood or occasion. Rouge Deep Velvet lipsticks retail for $49 CAD and $38 USD at Sephora and Holt Renfrew.

Not only do these lipsticks look couture but they as feel luxurious the lips. They are infused with mango butter that smooths and conditions. They are so comfortable to wear for a matte lipstick and it doesn’t feel heavy. The formula is soft, rich and leaves a powdery finish. They make my lips look fuller. The lipsticks deliver high pigment with one stroke of application that lasts hours. Of the three below, 27 Rouge Infusé is my favourite. It’s a beautiful cherry red. Shade 11 - Nude Cendré looks greyish purple on me and I don’t usually wear cool tones like that. Lastly, 38 Grenat Fumé is a true merlot red.
