Colourpop Mint to Be Shadow Palette - Review, Swatches & Makeup Look

Colourpop Mint to Be Palette

Hi Beauties!

I know I’m a little late with reviewing the Colourpop Mint to Be Shadow Palette. I had my eyes on it since it launched last year. I was even inspired by it to search my stash to create a mint look - posted here. but never got around to ordering it. I recently took advantage of one of their sales and I couldn’t be happier with this palette. The colour story features true mint shades with the exception of Ice Cold which is a teal shade. Overall, the shades are very cohesive. There are nine minty shadows in matte and metallic formulas. Mint to Be retails for $14 on colourpop.com

Mint to Be Eyeshadow Palette

The palette comes in a mint coloured plastic compact with a mirror within the lid. The palette includes five matte shades and four shimmers with mostly cool undertones but there are some warm undertone shades. It can take you from a soft wash of colours to a vibrant dramatic look. I went for a more dramatic look below but I definitely will be using it this spring for a softer fresh look. The mattes are highly pigmented and applied evenly. To achieve the pigment I got from shade Get Fresh on my skin tone without a white primer is amazing. I just used my concealer as a base. The fallout was very minimal. Shades De Menthe and Get Fresh did look similar when blended out but it’s no big deal. The shimmers feel smooth and velvety. With all shimmers, I like to apply them with my fingertips or wet brush. The shadows are long wearing and did not notice any fading.

Shades used: Get Fresh on lids, Chill Factor and Ice Cold in the crease, De Menthe as crease transition shade and Get Fresh and De Menthe in the lower lash line.
