Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer - Hunnie Glaze

Hi Beauties!

Fenty Beauty just released the Cheeks Out Collection featuring cream bronzers and blushes. I purchased a bronzer and two cream blushes (reviewed here). The bronzer comes in a sheer range of seven buildable shades. It has a lightweight formula that delivers a natural bronze or soft contour. The formula is also sweat and water-resistant as per the brand. The Cheeks Out Bronzer retails for $42 CAD and $32 USD at Sephora and Fentybeauty.com.

I purchased the shade Hunnie Glaze which is a medium brown with orange undertones for medium to tan skin tones. It gives a really natural satin finish. The formula has a gel-cream texture that wasn’t tacky on the skin. This shade worked better for me on bare skin. Over a matte foundation, it diffused and melted into the skin. I don’t usually wear foundation but if I did, a darker shade would be better. I found a dense contour brush worked best for getting the most pigmentation. You can also use your fingers or beauty blender. When I applied it with a stippling brush, it was too sheer for my liking. No matter the tool, the pan always gets dirty which can be annoying to some. The formula is meant to be sheer so it won’t work as a contour on my face but it works fine as a nose contour. It layers well over itself without looking too orange or muddy on. It blends seamlessly into the skin and dries down within minutes.

I think the next shade up, Teddy, might work better for contouring but it’s hard to say without being able to go into Sephora (due to Covid-19) to swatch it. Hunnie Glaze will do to add some warmth without looking too overdone. It’s perfect for light makeup days. I was looking for something like this for spring/summer. Most of my cream contour shades are very dark and I never reach for them. I had a Zoom meeting the other day and I did a quick look using the Cheeks Out Cream Blush and Bronzer. I really like the Fenty Sun Stalk’r Powder Bronzer which will pair well with the cream bronzer for a more full glam look.
