Marc Jacobs Coconut Collection for Summer 2017

I love incorporating coconut into my skincare because it has so many great benefits. I was excited to see Marc Jacobs come out with a line of products infused with coconut for their summer 2017 collection. The collection features luxe white packaging and high-end ingredients. Included in the collection are a bronzer, highlighter, limited edition brush, a face mist in addition to their coconut primer. Today I'll be sharing my picks from this line so keep reading to hear my thoughts.

Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter - Dew You? ($55 CAD/$44 USD)

Inspired by Marc's love for coconut water and the youthful radiant glow, he created a coconut infused gel-cream highlighter. The highlighter contains 5 forms of coconut and provitamin B5 to help hydrate and nourish skin. It is a warm golden peach hue and provides a beautiful luminous glow. This highlighter has multi uses. It can be worn alone for a natural inner glow look; as a base for powder highlights or mixed in with foundation or the coconut primer. Whether worn alone or layered, it looks amazing. The formula is very buildable leaving the ultimate sheen and it's also non-sticky. A little really goes a long way and the glow lasts for more than 10 hours. One full pump is too much for me to highlight the areas needed, so I pump a little bit on the back of my hand and add more as desired. I apply it with a duo-fibre brush or fingers in a tapping motion then blend out with a beauty sponge. I usually set it with a powder highlight but it's not necessary. It has been out of stock on Sephora and Marc Jacob's site for awhile so I'm happy I was able to track one down in store. There are cheaper options available on the market however you'll be missing the coconut and other high-end ingredients. I'm personally really enjoying the glow it provides as I'm a glow addict.

Re(cover) Perfecting Coconut Setting Mist ($53 CAD/$39 USD)*

This setting spray is said to hydrate and provide a fresh dewy glow while locking in your makeup. It has a slight coconut scent and contains five coconut actives (see below) that feel so refreshing once sprayed. The formula is like a milky consistency but does not leave a film. It really hydrates and it gives a nice glow to the face. I've read reviews where people experienced issues with the nozzle squirting the product out and making a mess. I, on the other hand, have not experienced that. Once you press the pump completely down, it sprays a soft even mist.

Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer ($55 CAD/$44 USD)*

This primer is also enriched with five coconut ingredients to help prime and smooth skin before makeup application. It is recommended for those with normal to dry skin types. It has a pleasant smell that isn't overpowering. The texture is similar to a moisturizer more than a primer and blends in evenly to the skin. It feels very moisturizing and it leaves the skin feeling fresh and hydrated. I like how it makes my skin look smooth and dewy.

I adore everything about this collection from the pretty white packaging to the pleasant coconut scent. It is not overpowering in any way in case you were worried about that. All items are quite pricey, however, that's expected from luxury brand Marc Jacobs. I would recommend the Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter especially for summer. Most people prefer to wear less makeup at this time of year and I think this the perfect product to achieve that summer glow without packing too much makeup on.
