Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Minis - Pink Edition: Review, Photos and Swatches

IMG_5276.JPG

Hi there,

You may already know that Huda Beauty's most coveted liquid lipsticks are one of my favourite formulas out there.   These lipsticks are now available in a set of 4 super cute minis.  There are four different variations of the minis, the Nude, Pink, Red and Brown Editions with complementary shades in each set.  These have been flying off the virtual shelves but is currently available on sephora.com for $43 CAD and $33 USD.  I already own three shades that are in the Nude Edition so I picked up the Pink Edition which you will be seeing swatches for below.

"Pink Edition: The set made for timeless alluring women. The collection includes Gossip Gurl (the everyday cute pink), Trophy Wife (an all-time rose wood), Icon (an elegant reddish-pink), Socialite (a brand new glitzy rose gold)."

The set includes 3 regular liquid mattes and one metallic shade.  It comes in a cardboard box that divides each lipstick and a clear sleeve.  One of the reasons why I picked up this set is because it had the new metallic shade, Socialite.  It was never available in the full-size version on Sephora whenever I checked.  It turns out that this is my least favourite shade of the set.  The consistency is very thin, almost watery and there is hardly any pigmentation when worn alone just some sparkle flecks.  It also doesn't look good as a lip topper as it doesn't look metallic because it has a matte finish.  The other three shades are on par with Huda's formula that I'm used to.  They are lightweight, easy to layer, and comfortable to wear.  Some lipsticks require two layers to cover the pigmentation in my lips.  They do take some time to dry but I don't mind that.  Gossip Girl and Icon are my favourites from the set.  Trophy wife is another fave that I already own (reviewed here).  You can also see swatches of the shade Bombshell here.

I definitely think these mini sets are worth checking out.  Especially if you've been wanting to check out the liquid mattes, this is a great way to test out a few colours at once.  Not to mention they are really cute and purse friendly.  I just wish it included another shade instead of Socialite.  The mini sets are also available at shophudabeauty.com.

What's your favourite Huda Beauty product?
