Nars Liquid Blush: Orgasm, Torrid, Luster and Dolce Vita - Review, Photos and Swatches

Hi Beauties!

Nars has launched new liquid blushes as part of their Summer 2017 collection.  I'm fairly new to using liquid blushes so I was very intrigued to try these out.  There are four shades in this line that coincide with the brands four powder blushes in their permanent line.  The blushes retail for $30 USD and $38 CAD and is sold at Sephora, Ulta, Narscosmetics.com and other retailers that carry the brand.  Usually, when I think of liquid blushes I picture a very sheer product however that isn't the case with these.  Keep reading to hear my full review and to see swatches of all the shades.

The blushes are packed in a small frosted bottle similar to an oversized nail polish bottle and contains a pump to dispense the product.  The blushes are highly pigmented and may appear intense upon application but can be sheered out.  Luster has almost a runny texture while the others are a little thicker.  However, the formula is weightless and contains monoi and tamanu oils to help achieve a natural-looking, second-skin finish.  It blends effortlessly leaving a satin finish and can be layered for desired intensity.  A little really goes a long long way.  One pump is almost too much product for my cheeks.  Especially with the shade Torrid,  if you're not careful you can end up having clown cheeks.  I prefer to pump a small amount on the back of my hand then apply and build with a duo fibre brush.  You can also use a beauty blender or your fingers.  You can layer the matching powder blush on top for more intensity but I find the blushes pigmented enough that I don't need to add more product.

Orgasm - peachy pink with golden shimmer

Torrid - warm coral with golden shimmer

Luster - sheer golden apricot

Dolce Vita - matte dusty rose

I love the colour range in this line.  They all work well on my tan complexion.  These are perfect for summer when you want to have a healthy flush of colour without adding too much product.   I wouldn't travel with these as I fear them exploding.  It's important not to twist the cap like I did a few times because the pump may become removed.   The pigmentation is amazing and the formula is light weight and long lasting.  Each bottle contains 15 mL of product but it will last forever as you only need the smallest amount.  If you pump out too much, you will end up wasting the product.  As intimidating as these may seem, they are really easy to work with and they can be sheered out for a more subtle glow.  If you're a fan of Nars blushes,  I highly recommend trying the liquid blushes.
