Clarins Joli Rouge Velvet Lipstick - Review & Swatches

Today I will be reviewing the new Clarins Joli Rouge Velvet lipsticks. The brand has put a matte finish on their legendary lipsticks. The new formula is said to have a velvet finish. There are 20 available shades that come in four colour families -nude, pink, orange-red and plum. You can now get the Joli Rouge lipsticks in three finishes - satin, high-shine and matte. The shade names are the same across all finishes. The new Velvet lipsticks retail for $29 CAD.

The gold packaging feels so luxe and the brands' name is embossed on the lipsticks. I'm not a matte type of girl but let me tell you this formula is amazing. It contains organic marsh samphire extract and apricot oil. It feels lightweight and very comfortable to wear. It's creamy, highly pigmented and glides on smoothly. It dries to a soft powdered finish but isn't drying. There was a no transfer with light bites and drinks. Below you will be seeing the classic Joli Rouge 742 shade in all three finishes.
